How You Spend Your Eight Hours
- Review and analyze system specifications prior to release to ensure products meet design standards
- Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures based on business requirements
- Develop use cases for functional testing from product requirements
- Perform functional testing on individual software changes and updates
- Develop, execute, and maintain regression tests for critical product components
- Evaluate product code against specifications
- Create detailed logs documenting testing phases and defects
- Report bugs and errors to engineering teams
- Assist in troubleshooting issues
- Handle software defects escalated from Level 2 support, isolate root causes, and update QA practices post-release
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
What You Must Possess
Bachelors degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experienceAt least a year of experience in manual software testing (zero experience is welcome)Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA) technologies (preferred)Experience with software systems and agile teams (preferred)Understanding of development methodologies and testing types (e.g., functional, system integration, regression).Knowledge of behavior-driven development (BDD) and / or test-driven development (TDD) (preferred)Ability to translate user needs into business specificationsWorking knowledge of company operating systems, processes, and payroll administration systemsStrong skills in investigating and resolving system errors and discrepanciesExperience developing test plans and test cases through thorough requirements analysisClient-centric mindsetAbility to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work under constant time pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detailAbility to collaborate effectively with team membersFlexibility to work hours necessary to meet role expectationsCommitment to company guidelines, procedures, and workflowWillingness to embrace company culture centered on respect, communication, teamwork, client focus, continuous change, and learningWhat You Shall Receive
