Service Engineer

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement general and preventive maintenance procedures for heavy equipment and related vehicles.Supervise mechanical maintenance in fabrication, installation, and repair tasks on machinery equipment, structure, and grounds conducted by the heavy equipment mechanics and operators.Carry out routine and emergency repairs and maintenance of equipment.Supervise installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment including pumps, valves, motors, and blowers.Keep maintenance records and prepare activity reports.Supervise mechanics in repairs.Ensure all manpower and materials are utilized efficiently.Perform documentation of related parts and service manuals and procedures.Communicate with clients and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively.Follow up promptly on service requests and provide customer feedback.Deliver demonstrations to ensure that customers are educated on safe and effective equipment use.Provide recommendations about new features and product improvements.Monitor inventory and reorder materials when needed.Conduct research and attend workshops to remain abreast of industry developments.Conduct quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment.Write reports and present findings to the Manager on a regular basis.Assist Company technical personnel in any other manner agreeable to both parties.Maintain a safe working environment by upholding Company health, safety, and environmental standards.Respond promptly to unsafe conditions and other safety issues identified by safety personnel.Accept and perform such other functions as may be assigned by direct heads.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.Possession of a valid mechanical engineering license.Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical service or engineering role; experience in warehousing or branch operations is a plus.Strong troubleshooting skills, inventory management experience, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, strong interpersonal and communication skills.Relevant certifications in safety or equipment handling may be required.Ability to lift and move heavy equipment or stock, as required in warehouse tasks.Ability to travel to customer sites for on-site services as needed.
