Job description :
The role of a Safety Officer typically involves a more advanced level of safety management responsibilities, with a focus on implementing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance in the workplace. A Safety Officer is often expected to have more experience and may take on leadership or supervisory duties in larger organizations or higher-risk industries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts site inspection to be aware of potential hazards in the workplace
Assist external auditor / inspector ( Client, LGU, Government Sector and etc.)
Formulate HIRAC [Hazard Identification Risk Assessment Control]
Keeps up-to-date on latest safety regulations as directed by DOLE
Identify all hazards and conduct risk assessment during regular safety inspection.
Make necessary corrective measures during inspection as needed to prevent accident
Complies with DOLE requirements and ensures a safe and healthy environment for all the workers assigned in the project
Investigate all incidents, accidents and near misses. Gives recommendation for any improvement in safety standards that needs to be made
Conducts Toolbox meeting and train workers on safety topics required by OSHA
Prepares reports related to Health, Safety, Security and Environment
Performs other duties that maybe assigned or required
REQUIREMENT
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or any 4 year course
Has BOSH and COSH certification
Must have more than 3 years experience as Safety Officer 3.
Has experience with construction company
DOLE or DOLE-accredited Training Organization and can implements an OSH program
Knowledgeable with compliances with DOLE requirement
Willing to work in Parañaque Office and to be assigned in site projects
Can start ASAP
