About the Role

We are a fast-growing company in the retail analytics space, empowering businesses with actionable insights to optimize operations and sales performance. As we expand our presence in the US market, we are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain our IT infrastructure during US business hours.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly capable and self-driven Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to maintain, support, and optimize our internal systems and infrastructure. This role will work closely with our US-based IT Director and global IT team to ensure seamless uptime, secure environments, and continued modernization of our technology stack.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Windows Server environments, automation, network configuration, and cloud storage systems, along with strong knowledge of firewall and VPN setups.

Key Responsibilities

Windows Server & Active Directory Management

Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server instances and Domain Controllers.

Administer Active Directory, including user / group accounts, GPOs, permissions, and domain trust configurations.

Monitor and troubleshoot replication, authentication, and access issues.

Web Server & Application Hosting

Install, configure, and manage Apache and IIS web servers.

Maintain server security, SSL certificates, and scheduled tasks.

Collaborate with development teams on application deployments and versioning.

Networking & Security

Configure and manage VPNs, firewalls (e.g., pfSense, Cisco, or similar), and routing rules.

Monitor network traffic and access logs to ensure compliance and detect anomalies.

Implement security patches and harden systems according to best practices.

Automation & Scripting

Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for provisioning, monitoring, and backups.

Improve internal tooling and reduce manual tasks via scripting and infrastructure-as-code.

Cloud & Storage Infrastructure

Manage and optimize cloud-based file sharing and backup systems (e.g., AWS, Google Drive, OneDrive).

Support hybrid infrastructure environments and integrate cloud storage into existing file systems.

Monitoring, Backup & Recovery

Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring solutions.

Ensure regular and secure backups for critical systems and support disaster recovery planning.

Documentation & Collaboration

Document system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.

Provide support and collaborate with other IT team members across time zones.

Qualifications

Non-negotiable Requirements :

3–5+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or similar roles.

Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and GPO.

Experience with both Apache and IIS.

Familiarity with firewall and VPN configurations.

Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell preferred).

Comfortable working independently and communicating in a remote-first environment.

Available to work during US business hours (Pacific Time).

Preferred (but not mandatory) :

Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).

Exposure to CI / CD or DevOps workflows.

Basic familiarity with Linux environments.
