Senior Design Engineer

The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for guiding and supervising the Engineering and Design team. The Solution Design team is tasked with developing designs, pricing, and technological solutions during the initial scoping phase and throughout the project's lifecycle.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for Engineering activities across the business.
• Create and implement best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
• Accountability for the design and documentation of project architecture solutions.
• Take ownership of the engineering policy, guidelines, and any associated documents.
• Initiate and develop creative and innovative engineering processes.
• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of build design, from contract award to handover.
• Assisting projects with value engineering and financial control of contracts during the construction stage
• Work with the Sales department on product development, market opportunities, and trends.
• Support the Sales team in developing product specifications and quote activities
• Lead the preparation of technical and contract documentation during the tender stage.
• Lead and manage a high-performing technical solution design team to deliver complex and scalable technology solutions based on business needs and aligning with industry best practices.
• Ensure the Solution Design team gains and maintains knowledge of the infrastructure environment that supports the business applications and services.
• Establish a strategy and best practices for staff to ensure the achievement of overall business objectives. Work with the Engineering team to translate site strategy into specific annual performance goals and departmental objectives, including KPIs, and to track them.
