General Ledger Accountant | Remote | Full-Time

Pleco is hiring a General Ledger Accountant to join our client's Finance team! In this role, you’ll provide critical accounting and financial support for our client's electric vehicle (EV) entities in the Netherlands, UK, and Australia. You will be based in Manila (permanently work-from-home) and report directly to the EV Financial Controller.

You’ll be supporting a global, sustainability-focused client — an international battery technology, electric vehicle, solar, and critical power services company with operations across Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, the United States, and the United Kingdom. They are a certified B Corporation, committed to delivering sustainable energy solutions to customers worldwide.

What You'll Do :

• Lead month-end close activities, ensuring reconciled trial balances (TBs) by working day 3.
• Post general journals, time charges, accruals, and allocations accurately and promptly.
• Maintain clean and up-to-date reconciliations for review.
• Support the EV Financial Controller in management account preparation.
• Drive automation and improvements in accounting processes.
• Oversee operational financial activities such as accounts payable, capital expenditure accounting, budgets, and internal controls documentation.
• Prepare local financial statements under IFRS and assist with group reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, resolve accounting issues, and prepare annual tax filings.
• Ensure financial compliance including VAT returns, grant reporting, and payroll declarations.
