Mechanical Engineer

Recruiting Company and Place of Assignment : IHI Philippines, Inc. / Local (Seconded to parent company for 6 months for training, Engineering Center of IHI Plant Services @Tokyo, Japan)

Basic Requirements : Skilled Engineer (Plant equipment design engineer, handling of purchased equipment) | Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Coordination, consultation, and negotiation with manufacturers, internal and external parties
• Drawing preparation (review, correction instructions, and issuance of manufacturer drawings, review and adjustment of drawings issued by other departments and customers)
• Appropriate drawing schedule and work management,t taking into account the progress of the project
• Work at IHI Plant Co., Ltd., the parent company in Japan, for several years to understand the operations of IHI plants and to be able to perform engineering work at the same level

Qualifications

・Graduate from a technical department or faculty

・More than 5 years of practical experience as an equipment engineer (at least experience working with rotating equipment)

・Business-class Japanese language skills (as you will be in charge of projects in Japan and will need to discuss with many project stakeholders, including manufacturers)

Required

・Knowledge and experience required for various types of engineering (processes, piping (including valves), structures, electrical / instrumentation, foundations / buildings, fire protection equipment, on-site construction work, trial operation)

・Project management experience

・Experience working in engineering in Japan
