Job Summary
The Lead Valet Cashier oversees the daily cashiering operations of the valet department, ensuring accurate handling of payments, smooth guest transactions, and adherence to company policies. This role serves as the primary point of contact for cashier staff, providing guidance, training, and support to deliver exceptional customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily activities of valet cashier team, ensuring coverage and efficient workflow.
Perform cashier duties including processing payments, issuing receipts, and reconciling cash drawers.
Monitor and verify all cashiering transactions for accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
Maintain accurate daily revenue reports, cash logs, and deposit records.
Train, coach, and mentor new and existing valet cashiers on customer service standards and cash handling policies.
Resolve customer inquiries, disputes, and payment-related issues promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with valet attendants and management to ensure seamless guest service operations.
Conduct regular audits of cashier stations and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure all cashiering supplies, equipment, and POS systems are operational and properly maintained.
Enforce safety, security, and confidentiality policies for all financial transactions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Minimum 2–3 years of cashier or cash handling experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and POS systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
