Overview
We are seeking a Acquiring Partnerships Senior Manager to lead and grow our acquiring and payments network relationships across the Philippines. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in card acquiring, payment schemes, and alternative payment acceptance, with the ability to manage both strategic and operational aspects of partnership management.
The role requires a mix of strategic leadership and hands-on execution—someone who understands how acquiring ecosystems work, from card networks and third-party acquirers to financial institutions and payment processors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage partnerships with card schemes, third-party acquirers, and financial institutions to expand payment acceptance and acquiring capabilities.
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of partnerships—from business development and contract negotiation to onboarding, performance management, and renewal.
Collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Product, and Operations teams to ensure all partner relationships meet regulatory, contractual, and service delivery standards.
Work with partners to launch and optimize new acquiring products, merchant payment solutions, and alternative payment methods (APMs).
Monitor and analyze partner performance metrics, ensuring revenue growth and service-level compliance.
Represent the organization in industry events, card scheme discussions, and partnership forums to strengthen brand presence and expand networks.
Identify opportunities for new payment corridors and cross-border acquiring initiatives.
Maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers at banks, acquirers, and payment networks.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the financial services or payments industry, with at least 4 years in card acquiring or scheme management.
Strong understanding of merchant acquiring, card network operations, and alternative payment acceptance.
Proven experience managing relationships with Visa, Mastercard, and local acquirers or payment gateways.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills; comfortable managing high-value, multi-party deals.
Background in financial institution partnerships, payment networks, or merchant services.
Familiarity with compliance, onboarding, and operational requirements of global and regional payment networks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
