DevOps Engineer - Background in software development

Position : DevOps Engineer

Octal Philippines Inc. is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for automating and optimizing our operational processes, collaborating with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff to manage code releases, and ensuring a seamless deployment pipeline. Your expertise will help improve the stability and efficiency of our applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role or similar position.
• Proficiency in cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Experience with CI / CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and configuration management (like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
• Solid scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) and server performance tuning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
