Job description

JOB SUMMARY :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support the company’s financial health. You will work closely with the accounting team and other stakeholders to maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Financial Record Maintenance :

  • Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial activities.

Bank and Account Reconciliation :

  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Expense and Budget Tracking :

  • Monitor company expenses and ensure they are within the approved budget.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for management review.
  • Payroll Support :

  • Process payroll transactions and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Maintain records of employee compensation and benefits.
  • Tax Preparation :

  • Assist in preparing and filing tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Reporting :

  • Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Provide data analysis to support business decisions.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role.
  • Experience with international financial systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and tax preparation processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
