Sr. Yard Mechanic

Yard Mechanics are skilled technicians tasked with executing all mechanical, electrical and hydraulic work within the central yard. He is also deployed for critical onsite jobs requiring urgent technical response.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Perform full-cycle diagnostics and repairs in the yard.

Inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems for service needs.

Execute preventive maintenance on idle or returning equipment.

Provide immediate technical response to onsite emergency repair calls.

Document repair tasks using job cards and inspection logs.

Maintain inventory tracking for tools and consumables used.

Ensure compliance with safety and diagnostic SOPs.

Collaborate with Engineers to review and troubleshoot failed units.

Coordinate with Procurement for parts request and job order closure.

Support weekly yard operations and asset readiness programs.
