JOB DESCRIPTION
The Social Welfare Officer III drafts policy-related documents identifying gaps and recommend actions relative to sectoral or other social welfare and development concerns; Provides comments and inputs to various draft bills, guidelines, and international resolutions and documents; Prepares formal communications in response to various queries, complaints, and/or other letters received from various stakeholders; Provides necessary technical assistance to other OBSUs, Field Offices and other stakeholders and duty-bearers in line with policy formulation and development, including policy review and legislative advocacy; and performs other related tasks assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Formulate and update Social Welfare and Development (SWD) policies;
2. Formulate and update SWD national sector plans and agency action plans;
3. Monitor and report the progress of the plans execution;
4. Provide technical assistance along sectoral planning;
5. Provide technical secretariat functions to TWGs related to sectoral planning.
6. Provide inputs to various policies, plans, and reports;
7. Perform other relevant functions that may be assigned.
