Job description5+ years of dental billing experience, preferably in a management or supervisory role. Proficiency in Dentrix Ascend, Google Workspace, Slack, and Asana. Strong knowledge of PPO, DMO, DHMO, and NYS Managed Care Programs. Understanding of in-network / out-of-network benefits and fee-for-service models. Up-to-date knowledge of ADA billing guidelines and CDT coding. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently, manage remote teams, and coordinate with U.S.-based staff.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and implement effective billing and collection policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. government and third-party payer regulations.
- Optimize insurance payer contracts, pricing strategies, and reimbursement rates.
- Oversee timely claim submissions and manage the aging process to minimize denials.
- Conduct pre- and post-appointment audits to ensure accurate billing and coding.
- Handle escalated insurance calls and facilitate claim corrections and refunds.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to collections and accounts receivable.
- Train and support billing team members, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with on-site teams to resolve billing and insurance-related issues.
