About the Role KP Staffing is seeking a dynamic and motivated Recruitment Consultant (Skilled Trades Recruiter) to join our team. As a Recruitment Consultant, you will play a crucial role in connecting talented tradespeople with rewarding job opportunities in the light industrial and skilled trades sectors. Your passion for helping individuals find the right career match and your ability to build strong relationships with candidates and clients will be instrumental in achieving our mission. What you’ll do

  • Candidate Sourcing and Screening :
  • Identify and source potential candidates for various trades positions, including but not limited to construction, manufacturing, and skilled labor.
  • Screen candidates through interviews, assessments, and reference checks to assess their qualifications and fit for specific job openings.
  • Client Engagement :
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their staffing needs, job requirements, and company culture.
  • Present qualified candidates to clients and facilitate interviews and hiring processes.
  • Talent Pipeline Management :
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of skilled trades candidates through networking, referrals, and outreach.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with candidates to ensure their long-term career success.
  • Compliance and Documentation :
  • Ensure all candidate and client records are accurately maintained in accordance with company and legal requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date on labor laws and regulations related to the staffing industry.
  • Market Research and Trends :
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights to clients and candidates.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • At least 3-5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in the light industrial or trades sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to assess candidate skills and qualifications effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using recruiting software and tools.
