Hitachi Rail  is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated  Quantity Surveyor  who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in  Manila, Philippines.

The key accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to :

• Support the Construction Manager to ensure that work progress is managed with both subcontractors and the client.
• Ensure that work progress certificates issued by the subcontractors are checked by the appropriate site supervisor / manager and that they are compliant with the subcontractor invoicing and subcontract requirements.
• Ensure that the construction work progress is monitored and reported according to the contract to support client invoicing.
• Provide an interface with the Control and Finance Function to process the invoices approved by the Construction Manager
• Assist the Construction Manager with tracking of internal and external budgets
• Collate the work package.
• Produce Work Instructions with support from the supervisors.
• Produce and manage the Work method statements with support from the supervisors.
• Track and identify changes to scope of work.
• Track and report delays to programme.
• Monitor all registers and checklists identified in the work packages.
• Diploma with specialisation in surveying and / or Engineering University degree desirable
• Minimum 2 years of expertise
• Competent in speaking and reading English.
• Quantity Surveyor has to have a basic knowledge on the following skills : Utilization of measurement tools for civil worksSoftware tools
