PHP Developer – Full Stack & Cloud Infrastructure (Remote – Australia-Based Team)
Location : Remote - 9am - 6pm AEST
Employment Type : Full Time – 40 hours per week, Independent Contractor engagement
We’re looking for a PHP Developer who is passionate about backend development and experienced in cloud infrastructure and containerization . This is a unique opportunity to work on scalable, high-performance applications while taking ownership of deployment, infrastructure, and CI / CD pipelines.

About the Role
In this position, you’ll play a key part in developing and maintaining the clients’ internal PHP applications, collaborating closely with product, QA, and business teams. You’ll also take ownership of release processes and help enhance AWS infrastructure to support growth, scalability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PHP applications using frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.
- Build APIs, manage databases, and implement backend logic with best practices in security and performance.
- Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Containerize applications using Docker and integrate them into automated CI / CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
About You
Strong PHP development experience with modern frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter).Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and related services.Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration for scalable deployments.Knowledge of CI / CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buddy, etc.) and release automation.Problem-solving mindset and willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Why This Role Stands Out

Requirements
Strong commercial experience with PHP and frameworks such as Laravel.Solid understanding of AWS services and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).Hands-on experience with CI / CD pipelines and release automation tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Buddy).Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote teams.A growth mindset — you enjoy solving complex problems and learning new technologies.Understanding of software engineering principles, version control, and testing practices.
