Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Our partner, a top full-service Australian insurance broker team that offers general insurance, finance broking, professional/financial risks, claim administration, and risk advisory services, is looking for additional Assistant Account Broker to join their Financial & Professional Lines Team.

As the Assistant Account Broker, you will be assisting three senior brokers with broking administrative support functions further described below. You will also work closely with the team in Australia and in the Philippines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
• Provide high level of support to all team members and ensure that all requests are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Preparing Client Report and Premium Summary templates
• Processing of new business and renewals in GSA’s broking system
• Issuance of invoices/closings to clients and insurers
• Policy document review
• Obtaining premium funding quotes
• Processing of endorsements/amendments.
• Assist with management of debtors
• Support the team with all duties and assist them to achieve budget.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

• Diploma or Degree in Business / Finance / Commerce or equivalent
• Prior insurance experience (insurance literacy) a must - i.e. has a strong grasp on the principles of insurance
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Background with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.
• Familiarity with Insight would be a bonus but not required
• Customer service skills and business acumen
• The ability to manage your time and work on a number of projects concurrently
• Strong analytical skills
• The ability to work well in a team environment
