Purchasing Director

This opportunity is for one of the largest pharmaceutical / manufacturing companies in southeast asia

• Purchasing
• Procures Direct and Indirect Materials & Services, maximizing cost efficiency, management of inventory levels, and availability, in support of operations' needs
• Facilitates profitable contract management with Suppliers & Service Providers, and establishes a mutually beneficial partnership
• Establishes and manages the Performance Management System for suppliers
• Conducts regular review and build-up of a reliable network base of suppliers and vendors at an optimum level
• Develops short
• and long-term plans to improve sourcing costs and vendor performance.
• Ensures optimum supplier base by developing new suppliers.
• Oversees import and export process.
• Reviews and updates forecasting model.
• Interfaces with Global Procurement Team.
• Production Planning
• Facilitates scheduling of In-House production and / or through Third-Party Manufacturers based on the Capacity Requirements Plan and sales forecast spread for the covered period.
• Ensures that all packaging materials and raw materials are available to meet the production plan.
• Oversees and monitors the actual production and delivery of finished goods based on the Production Orders sent to In-House Production.
• Approves the loss report (pertaining to Toll Manufacturer) for submission to Finance
• Employs well-defined performance metrics, including cycle time achievement and KPI attainment : customer service level and plant inventory standards
• Manages the Production Planners in their respective specific line functions for production scheduling
• As the need arises, advises Manufacturing Head on the possible deficit in capacity based on the capacity plan made
• Analyzes actual inventory as reference for making Purchase Requisition and scheduling, to ensure efficient control of working capital
