Overview

The Financial Analyst, Business Operations supports global operations by providing timely functional, site, business unit and / or client financial, operational and business analysis along with appropriate recommendations and solutions to ensure the business’s successful attainment of its goals and objectives (e.g. client service levels, labor efficiency, profitability, etc.). Individual will develop an understanding of the business and assist in identifying future opportunities for cost savings and process improvement through financial reporting, special projects and budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the process to facilitate the preparation of the functional / site / client annual Budget as well as the ongoing forecasting requirements.
  • Be the financial partner for the global functional leaders and assist them with spend decisions
  • Prepare and report weekly costing / margin information. Use this information to analyze business outlook and review results with the appropriate service delivery management team and develop plan of action to address issues and respond to opportunities.
  • Provide support for the site’s monthly financial close process providing the necessary documentation, accruals and assistance to Finance.
  • Collaborate with the reporting group to ensure the timely and accurate preparation, reporting and tracking of key operational and business metrics.
  • Provide performance analysis reporting to identify profitability and operational variances from original pricing assumptions. Review results with the appropriate service delivery management and develop plan of action to resolve material variances.
  • Analyze the mix of clients and services and recommend alternatives to drive the success and profitability.
  • Review and compare metric, staffing and model assumptions used to plan the business by highlighting operational risks and assisting in the development of corrective action plans.
  • Provide a consolidated summary of department costs, assess and consult on changes in structure across the sites and facilitate communication across the sites.
  • Partner with global functional leaders to develop the preparation of the monthly forecast and annual budget for global SG&A. Collaborate with partners to ensure the accuracy and validity of the process and results.
  • Create and deliver presentations as needed
  • Other ad-hoc reporting and projects as require

Qualifications

  • College degree (BS / BA) with a finance or accounting major
  • 3 to 5 years prior financial planning, analysis, and forecasting experience
  • Advanced spreadsheets skills, with knowledge of financial and database systems, Oracle, Hyperion / Essbase preferred;
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and customers.
  • A self-starter who can initiate and complete projects in a time critical environment
  • Skill in verbal and written communication to analyze, interpret and address customer needs.
  • Possess analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deliver solutions in a matrix business structure and manage multiple projects, initiatives, and priorities in response to a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Experience working effectively as the financial liaison on a business team and managing individuals indirectly across client and operational organizations
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing accounting activities.
  • Must possess ability to work independently, formulate sound business decisions, and have strong prioritization and follow-up skills
  • Must be flexible and quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes
  • Previous call center or production experience preferred
  • Equivalent education or experience may be substituted for any of the above.
