ROLE PURPOSE :
The Communications Assistant supports the Sponsorship Communications team and the
organization in delivering effective communication and media products that uphold Save the
Children's image and reputation. Assist in maintaining consistency in messaging, tone, and
visuals across various communication channels, and provide valuable content for media and
fundraising activities.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist in conveying the organization's mission, values, and achievements to both internal
and external audiences.
Ensure that all communication materials adhere to Save the Children’s global brandingand media guidelines.
Contribute to the development of written and visual content for variouscommunication channels, including articles, social media updates, and newsletters.
Support in building and maintaining relationships with journalists, bloggers, andinfluencers.
Assist in the distribution of press releases and media kits to promote organizational events and initiatives.Coordinate interviews and media appearances as directed.Provide support for donor and media trips, including logistical arrangements.Assist in monitoring and analyzing communication and media metrics to optimize communication strategies.Support the Sponsorship Communications team in implementing crisis communication plans and drafting statements during critical situations.OTHER RESPONSIBLITIES :
Additional tasks and responsibilities deemed necessary in the Sponsorship Program may be assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduate of BA Communication / Journalism / Broadcasting or any related courseExperience in a communications or journalistic capacityExcellent writing skills (sample works required) and interpersonal communication skills, both in Tagalog and EnglishKeen eye for good storiesAbility to take quality video and photographsProficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel, Photoshop, In Design and Premiere ProProficient in social media platformsExcellent relationship building and coordination skills in order to effectively work with different program / project teamsExcellent communications and relationship building skills with children in order to gather good case studiesPolitically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacyProficient in corporate communications, media relations, social media engagement management, and digital advocacyAbility to think creatively, design campaigns, and adapt these for different contexts.Experience in storytelling, multimedia content creation, and digital engagement.Experience working in the humanitarian contextExperience in writing press releases and pitching to the mediaExperience working with NGOs
