Quality Engineer - Metal Stamping (47699) - Calamba, Laguna

Job descriptionImplement and monitor quality control procedures specific to metal stamping processes. Perform dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Analyze and resolve quality issues related to die tooling, stamping defects (e.g., burrs, cracks, misalignment), and material inconsistencies. Lead and document root cause analysis (RCA), 8D reports, and implement corrective / preventive actions (CAPA). Monitor in-process inspection activities and ensure product conformance to customer specifications and drawings. Collaborate with toolmakers, production supervisors, and engineers to maintain product quality and reduce scrap / rework. Participate in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001) Conduct training and refreshers on quality procedures and standards to production operators and inspectors. Support continuous improvement projects and quality system upgrades.
Required Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 1–3 years of experience in a stamping company or related metal manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of stamping processes, die setup, tooling issues, and materials (e.g., steel, aluminum).
- Familiar with quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and / or IATF 16949 systems.
