Based on New Business Annual Premium EquivalentThe Head of Strategy is responsible for the development of effective strategies and driving them towards execution in order to create value for our stakeholders and transform the business. He / she will also be responsible for the execution of strategic external business research and analysis in order to produce actionable insights for senior management of the company.
Key Responsibilities :1. Market Research and IntelligenceGather and analyze information on competitors, market developments, and industry best practices in the Philippine life insurance sector. Summarize findings and highlight opportunities or risks for the company.2. Strategy Planning & SupportWork with the CFO and other leaders to develop practical plans that help the company grow, improve, or adapt. Contribute to annual business planning, setting measurable goals and tracking progress3. Storytelling and PresentationsTurn data and strategies into engaging, easy-to-understand PowerPoint presentations. Use simple visuals and narratives to explain the company’s direction to leaders, staff, and other stakeholders.4. Performance TrackingHelp define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for strategic projects. Prepare regular reports that show how strategies are performing against targets.5. CollaborationWork closely with other departments to share market intelligence, gather input, and ensure that everyone is aligned on strategic priorities.Knowledge and Skills :Education & Certification :Bachelor’s degree required; graduate studies a plus.Experience :At least 8+ years of experience in strategy, market research, or business analysis, preferably in financial services or life insurance.Preferably with a background in financial services or life insuranceExposure to leadership teams and strategic planning processesStrong skills in collecting and summarizing market data.Ability to create clear and engaging PowerPoint presentations.Experience working with leadership teams is an advantage.Technical Competencies / Skills :Analytical Thinking : Comfortable working with numbers, research, and reports to find clear insights.Communication : Able to turn complex ideas into simple, story-driven presentations and reports.Collaboration : Works well with teams across the organization.Business Acumen : Good understanding of business basics and the insurance market in the Philippines.Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.Required Competencies :Customer Focus.
