Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) at Chubb is focussed at delivering services across multiple disciplines at Chubb. Cloud Engineering is one of the key services that are responsible for delivering cloud-based services on-prem as well as off prem. As part of the continued transformation, Chubb is increasing the pace of application transformation into containers and cloud adoption.
As such we are seeking an experience cloud engineer who can be part of this exciting journey at Chubb. As an experience hands on cloud engineer, you will be responsible for both Infrastructure automation and container platform adoption at Chubb. A successful candidate would have hands-on experience of container platforms (Kubernetes), Cloud Platforms(Azure), and experience with software development and devops enablement through automation and Infrastructure as code.
Successful candidate will also have opportunity to build and innovate solutions around various Infrastructure problems right from developer experience to operational excellence across the services provided by the cloud engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Work with Engineering teams to standardise on the Monitoring logging framework. Build automation in the Science logic platform to integrate with azure monitor.
- Work on the cloud transformation projects across cloud engineering to provide automation and self service
- Drive adoption of the Kubernetes platform (on-prem) as well as Azure(AKS)
- Implement automation and self-service capabilities using CI / CD pipelines for Infrastructure
- Build Operational capabilities around the Kubernetes and Cloud platform for handing over to Operations after release
- Document and Design controls and governance policies around container platform and automate deployments of the policies
- Manage the end user collaboration using village site and conduct regular sessions to educate end users on services and automation capabilities
- Find opportunities of siloed manual tasks and build automation to remove manual work
- Attend escalations from support teams and provide assistance during major production issues from an engineering prospective
Key Requirements
Experience with large cloud transformation projects preferably in AzureExtensive experience with cloud platform mainly Azure. Worked with IAM, Loadbalancers, AppGateway, NSG, storage and Hashicorp vault.Writing Infrastructure as code and pipelines preferably using terraform, ansible, Bash and Jenkins and provide test automationAbility to work in both windows and Linux environment with Containers platform such as Kubernetes, AKS, EKSDevOps experience with ability to use Github, Jenkins and Nexus for pipeline automation and artefact managementExperience with monitoring and logging tools such as SL, ELK and Prometheus and change management tool such as ServiceNowImplementation experience of secure transports using TLS and encryption along with authentication / authorization flowDesirable, Experience with java / sprinboot and microservices distributed application architecture and scripting language with pythonEducation and Qualification
Bachelors degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant fieldMinimum of 8 year experience in IT automation with 2 years supporting Azure based cloud automation and 2 years of Kubernetes and Docker.Relevant Azure Certification
