Job descriptionJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school or active membership in good standing with the Bar. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lawyer, with a background in banking and financial services (preferred but not required). Strong knowledge of banking laws and regulations. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to provide strategic legal advice and counsel in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization. Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support to senior management on banking-related issues, including regulatory compliance, risk management, corporate governance, contracts, and litigation.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with banking laws and regulations.
- Review, draft, and negotiate banking agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and advisors.
- Stay informed about changes in banking laws and regulations and advise senior management on their implications for the company.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to address legal issues and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
