The Senior Design Engineer develops advanced thermal solutions for gas and liquid delivery systems, leveraging CAD tools and engineering expertise to meet customer specifications. This role drives product feasibility analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and design execution from concept through fabrication and testing. It supports internal and external stakeholders through technical presentations, design reviews, and adherence to NPI processes, ensuring high-performance solutions that align with operational and client requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Designs thermal solutions both heating and temperature sensing applications for both gas and / or liquid delivery systems, using Cad software to execute designs.
- Possess some (engineer to engineer) product\project development experience; along with, the ability to provide presentations to sales / operations staff when required.
- Ability to research and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of design or application
- Responsible to work with internal UCT account managers and operations staff to complete design requirements to customers’ specifications
- Coordinates with UCT Thermal manufacturing assisting in the fabrication, test, and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
- Participate in design review meetings with internal staff and to follow the NPI process via MS Teams in PST.
- Potentially participate in customer presentations with sales / operations staff

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Personal and or professional experience working physically with tools and manufacturing equipmentStrong verbal and written communication English skillsCustomer service oriented.Must have working knowledge of CAD software – AutoDesk 3D Inventor, and AutoCAD 2D, and SolidWorks.A working understanding to effectively work within the Agile databaseKnowledge of SAP preferred.Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are metWorking knowledge of MS Office Suite and database softwareA fundamental understanding of thermal applications and material propertiesEducational / Certification Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, or equivalent experience is mandatory.Experience Requirement
Work Experience :
5+ years design experience in semiconductor capital equipment, heating or related industry. Experience with thermal management and electrical design preferred.Experience with thermal management and electrical design preferred.Hands on experience with prototyping and testing is highly desirable.Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment.Physical Demands and Working Conditions
