GDS Tax - TARAS Advanced Analyst

The Opportunity

Our team is part of our integrated tax practice and links closely into our range of taxation services including corporate tax and other taxes. Our tax accounting team provide monthly / quarterly / annual income tax accounting calculations (current and deferred).

Your key responsibilities

As TARAS Staff, you will be responsible in managing day-today client engagements. This can be from preparing information and validating data for corporate income tax, tax reporting and compliance engagements to tax provisioning and reconciliations.

Skills and attributes for success :

  • Prepare roll-forward standard information request and compliance calendar
  • Validate data for global tax reporting and tax compliance engagements
  • Perform tax provision calculation for mostly APAC region.
  • Understanding and posting of tax journals;
  • Tax account such as current tax receivables and payables reconciliations;
  • Deferred and current tax proof;
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of compliance services by EY teams in the region
  • Actively establish, maintain and strengthen relationships both internally within the EY network and externally with clients
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management of client engagements

To qualify for the role, you must have :

  • Degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus);
  • Minimum 2-3 years of practical tax accounting experience and / or income tax preparation
  • Experience with tax accounting software such as Longview, OTP or similar
  • Knowledgeable in basic Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Available to work in McKinley West
  • Ideally, you must have :

  • Experience in preparing IFRS and / or US GAAP tax calculations
  • Experience in income tax preparations
