We are seeking a highly competent Project Manager to join our Places PPM team, providing direct support to the Technical Advisory Group in Italy. The ideal candidate will bring a strong generalist background in project and program management within the construction industry, combined with the ability to support and integrate technical advisory services across multidisciplinary engagements.
Role accountabilities : Work within established standard operating procedures and systems with clear project objectives to produce delivery outputs, schedules and track budgets, highlighting variances in order to manage and control project delivery targets Deliver / assist to manage small to medium scale projects or programs ensuring appropriate use of resources to deliver the required scope of work within set deadlines Present any project risks or issues to senior managers to ensure the project is not adversely impacted, and ensure that the delivery of projects is compliant to standards Use knowledge and experience to review project processes and policies, providing advice to support management in developing and improving processes and systems Interact effectively across the organization, completing complex professional level tasks for others in order to ensure projects / programs can be delivered to meet client and customer expectations. Qualifications & Experience : Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience, with a proven track record in managing small- to mid-sized construction projects and programs from inception to completion. Demonstrated expertise in general project and program management, with solid experience in planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder engagement. Previous involvement in technical advisory services (e.g., due diligence, feasibility studies, technical reviews) is highly desirable. Strong leadership and coordination skills, capable of managing multifunctional teams and ensuring integration across disciplines and advisory scope Effective communicator with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, senior stakeholders, and technical experts, both internally and externally. Skilled in relationship management and negotiation, particularly in a consultancy or advisory environment Possesses commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the construction lifecycle and advisory-related business drivers Analytical and solutions-driven mindset, able to navigate complexity and align advisory insights with project objectives Proficient in modern project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Power BI), with a focus on delivery excellence Sound understanding of risk management, governance, and compliance requirements within both general construction and advisory contexts Why Arcadis?
