Role Overview
Our client, a technology and consulting organization, is seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of SAP implementation, upgrade, and rollout initiatives.
This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle—from planning and execution through to deployment and post-implementation support. The SAP Project Manager will work closely with both business and technical teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The SAP Project Manager will define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals. The role involves developing comprehensive project plans that include timelines, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management strategies. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end SAP project execution using established methodologies such as SAP Activate or similar frameworks, while continuously monitoring progress, tracking milestones, and ensuring adherence to plans.
The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, acting as the primary point of contact for business users, IT leadership, and external partners. The Project Manager will facilitate regular status updates, communicate risks and issues effectively, and ensure stakeholder expectations are managed throughout the project lifecycle.
In leading cross-functional teams, the SAP Project Manager will coordinate the efforts of consultants, developers, and analysts, providing direction and fostering a collaborative working environment. The role also includes managing internal and external resources, supporting team development, and ensuring effective communication across all parties involved.
A key responsibility is proactively identifying and managing project risks, issues, and dependencies, including developing mitigation and contingency plans. The Project Manager will serve as the escalation point for project-related challenges and ensure that risk and issue management processes are consistently applied.
Additionally, the role ensures the quality and success of project deliverables by overseeing testing, managing change requests, and evaluating their impact on scope and timelines. The Project Manager will lead deployment and go-live activities, ensuring a smooth transition to production, and conduct post-implementation reviews to capture insights and drive continuous improvement in future projects.
