Job Overview:

As Sewer/Seamstress, you will be able to showcase your skills in making clothes and other fabric goods. Creates sewn work of art and be able to produce outputs. You are responsible for performing high-quality garment alterations and repairs on women's apparel to ensure an exceptional fit and finish for customers. This requires expertise in sewing and fitting skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform alterations on women's apparel including hemming, taking in/out seams, adjusting straps, resizing, tapering, and other garment modifications as needed.
• Maintain brand quality and fit standards for all alterations.
• Conduct fittings with customers (if applicable) to determine proper fit and alteration needs.
• Provide expert advice on garment fit, fabric behavior, and possible alterations to achieve the desired look.
• Use specialty sewing machines, sergers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete alterations within extablished timelines and ensure garments are clean, pressed, and ready for pick-up.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area, ensuring all materials and tools are properly cared for.
• Collaborate with store associates and management to ensure seamless customer service.
• Communicate effectively with customers and staff about alteration timelines, pricing, and garment care.
• Uphold brand standards and contribute to a positive, fashio-forward store environment.

Job Specifications:

• 3+ years of experience in sewing, tailoring, or alterations (preferably in women's apparel).
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and fitting techniques.
• Skilled in operating a variety of sewing equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer-service-oriented with a passion for fashion and fit.
• Ability to stand, sit, and work at a sewing station for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and handle delicate garments carefully.
