Job Description
The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations across multiple entities in a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include handling AP, AR, intercompany transactions, and cash application; preparing consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP / ASC standards; and supporting the integration of newly acquired companies. This role also involves cash flow tracking, treasury support, audit and tax compliance, and leveraging technology platforms to optimize processes. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of accounting experience, a strong understanding of GAAP, and expertise in multi-entity financial reporting. CPA certification (or progress toward certification) is preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with a proactive mindset, are essential for success in this fast-paced, growth-oriented role.
QuickBooks experience is required , as this role will leverage the system for revenue tracking, reconciliations, and AP management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage AP, AR, intercompany transactions, and cash application in compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements across multiple entities in adherence to GAAP / ASC standards.
- Support financial onboarding and integration of newly acquired companies, standardizing processes and ensuring alignment with platforms.
- Track and forecast cash flow, assist in treasury management, and monitor lending covenants.
- Assist in audit preparation and tax filings, ensuring compliance with sales / use tax and other relevant regulations.
- Leverage technology platforms such as NetSuite, Quickbooks, etc to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with the companys strategic goals.
- Contribute to process documentation and system improvements for enhanced reporting and data flow.
- Record daily cash receipts and accurately apply them against monthly invoices.
- Process employee expense reimbursements and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Manage and update vendor contracts and vendor master records.
- Handle AP-related tasks such as processing invoices, monitoring payment schedules, and performing reconciliations.
- Review SaaS platform billing data to ensure accuracy and contribute to the month-end close process.
- Develop and deliver weekly and EOM cash reporting for management, consolidating cash statements and reviewing AR balances for write-offs.
- Prepare detailed revenue performance reports, analyzing churn impacts and ARR eligibility.
- Research and respond to customer and vendor inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
- Participate in monthly comp calculations and assist in reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Collaborate on automating and improving financial processes within the team and organization.
- Participate in training on the ThreeFlow platform and support its integration into revenue operations.
- Cross-train on AP and AR functions with a clear path toward transitioning into a dedicated AR / Revenue Analyst role.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or progress toward certification is preferred.At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on acquisitions, rollups, or multi-entity financial reporting.Strong understanding of GAAP / ASC standards and experience with lease accounting, sales / use tax, and audits.Proficiency with accounting systems like NetSuite or similar platforms.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.Proficiency in QuickBooks is required , along with strong skills in MS Excel, Google Workspace, and accounting systems.Compensation and Benefits Package
