Master Data Associate
As a Master Data Associate, you will work directly with Softchoice business functions and
stakeholders to promote consistency, quality, integrity and standardization of master data across the
entire organization. Your focus will be on creating and updating master data records in the
appropriate systems in compliance with business policies, documented procedures and data quality
requirements. You will also be engaged in supporting various aspects of the Master Data team’s
operations including data incident management and data quality monitoring.
As a Master Data Associate, you will :
Process master data requests in accordance with data governance policies and guidelines,
within the defined service level agreements
Create and update master data records in the appropriate systems
Identify and troubleshoot data issue raised by stakeholders and assess impacts of master
data changes to downstream systems and business processes
Assess the validity of inbound requests against established policy and guidelines
Participate in the development and documentation of data maintenance processes
Maintain clear and up-to-date statuses on requests and incidents
Maintain open lines of communication with requestors
Drive compliance to established data management policies, processes and published
Service Level Agreements (SLAs), while maintaining data accuracy and eliminating
variability
Ensure data submissions are compliant with internal audit requirements
Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues and process improvement opportunities
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of processes and procedures to support
ongoing audit requirements
As Our Ideal Candidate You’ll Have
Post-secondary Degree or Diploma.
2+ years of related experience in master data management and data quality management
Demonstrated analytical skills and comfort / experience working with data
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Data collection and manipulation experience
Hands-on experience working with master data in SAP or similar ERP system
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and time management skills
A high level of professionalism and ability to work under pressure (with deadlines and multiple
stakeholders)
