Exciting Opportunity : Senior Tax Advisor
Location : Houston USA | Remote Work Available
Work Schedule : Full-time, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm CST with one hour of unpaid break
A respected and growing accounting firm specializing in individuals, business owners, and high-net-worth clients is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Advisor to join their expanding Tax Advisory Services team. This is a strategic, senior-level role that goes beyond tax preparation—you will help clients implement strategies for tax reduction and retirement planning.
This role is not for entry-level candidates. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of progressive experience preparing complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning to reduce client liabilities
- Manage and mentor junior tax staff, assisting with workflow and scheduling
- Represent clients during IRS and state audits, preparing correspondence and supporting documentation
- Deliver tax strategies directly to clients and help grow client relationships
- Identify process improvements and assist in training team members
Required Experience & Skills :
3+ years preparing complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and businessesStrong knowledge of tax laws, deductions, payroll, depreciation, and reporting requirementsProficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Adobe; experience with UltraTax CS is a plusStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlinesCPA designation or studying for CPA is a plus; Enrolled Agent credential a plusExcellent client service skills and a proactive, strategic mindsetBenefits & Perks :
