Shipping & Logistics Specialist (Customs, Tariffs & Supply Chain)
Work Setup : Full-time | Regularization after 6 months
Salary : PHP 50,000 to PHP 55,000 per month
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping & Logistics Specialist to oversee logistics coordination, customs compliance, and tariff management. This role is ideal for a versatile professional who thrives in an international environment and can balance cost efficiency with regulatory compliance.
Reporting directly to the Product Director, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth, cost-effective, and compliant global operations across the company’s supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities
Global Logistics & Freight Management
- Plan, execute, and optimize shipments across sea, air, and land freight
- Negotiate contracts with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to achieve cost efficiencies
- Use digital freight and IoT tracking systems to monitor cargo in real time as needed
Customs & Trade Compliance
Oversee customs documentation, tariff classification, and duty paymentsEnsure compliance with international trade laws, including INCOTERMS, WTO regulations, FTA agreements, and HS codesLiaise with customs authorities, regulatory agencies, and third-party brokersSupply Chain Optimization
Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align shipment schedules with demand planningImplement technology-driven improvements such as ERP integrationContinuously improve lead times, cost structures, and service levelsRisk & Cost Management
Identify risks related to shipping delays, tariffs, and regulatory changesDevelop contingency plans and diversify supplier networks to mitigate risksTrack and analyze landed costs to drive commercial efficiencyInventory, Branding & Documentation
Track inventory from origin to destination warehouses to ensure accuracyMaintain shipment records, product serialization, and SKU-level traceabilityEnsure branding, packaging, and labeling meet company standardsOversee product naming conventions across all documentation and customs filingsProvide leadership with accurate reports on inventory status, shipment costs, and product availabilityStakeholder Engagement
Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams, suppliers, logistics partners, and regulatory agenciesReport on shipment KPIs, customs issues, and cost performance to leadershipAbout the Client

Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field3–6 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or customs clearance (international environment preferred)Experience working directly with suppliers and logistics providersTechnical Skills
Strong understanding of import / export regulations, HS codes, and tariff managementProficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and MS Office toolsFamiliarity with international trade documentation (e.g., BL, COO, AWB, HS Codes)Soft Skills
