Role overview : We are seeking a technically accomplished and proactive Network Security Engineer to join our Manila-based team, aligned to UK working hours. In this key role, you will design and manage secure network infrastructures across on-premise and cloud environments. From firewalls and IDS / IPS to VPNs and web application security, your work ensures resilience against evolving threats while supporting seamless business operations. Collaborating across global teams, you'll help protect sensitive data, minimise risk, and uphold our organisation's security posture and compliance standards.

What will you do as a Network Security Engineer?

• Design, harden, and audit network architectures (on-premises and cloud).
• Manage firewalls, IDS / IPS, secure VPNs, and web application firewalls (WAF).
• Lead incident response, log analysis, and coordination with the SOC.
• Monitor and remediate malicious network activity in real-time.
• Configure and review network traffic filters, change controls, and access rules.
• Support DDoS defence, vulnerability assessments, and Zero Trust implementations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations such as ISO 27001, CIS, and GDPR.
• Guide audits and improve network security tooling and visibility.
