Overview
IT Network Security & Development Engineer
Responsibilities
- Ensure the overall stability, security, integrity, and efficient online operation of the company network backbone and infrastructure connectivity. Work with IT Support Team to identify and mitigate security issues, vulnerabilities and misconfigurations by applying in-depth knowledge to resolve network and infrastructure related issues.
- Responsible for network support operations day-to-day tasks, including assigned tickets and escalated tickets.
- Conduct regular network infrastructure reviews to assess gaps and recommend changes to support organizational needs and ensure optimal performance and availability of all enterprise systems.
- Respond to security incidents and IT security policy violations pertaining to the enterprise infrastructure level immediately.
- Document network-related issue root cause analysis (RCA), ensure that network-related incident reports and RCA are released within the agreed service level agreement, and liaise with concerned groups for resolution.
- Configure, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, information and data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related associate & business course.At least 2 years working experience.1 year’s experience in network support administration & network security field or similar capacity.Experience with ticketing system and issue escalation process.Familiar with issue management and escalation process, and change management process.Certifications are a plus but not required : CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or other equivalent network management, administration and / or security certifications.Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of cross-platform environments such as Windows and open source systems.Knowledge of network infrastructure and firewalls (Huawei, Palo Alto, and other firewall brands).Knowledge of security applications (IDS / IPS, VPN, SIEM, MDM, SSL).Experience with network hardware infrastructure and security appliances / services.Additional qualifications
Additional assets such as familiarity with Cisco technologies and commands (e.g., vPC, OSPF, static routing).Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools.Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate network security issues clearly to peers and management.Seniority level
