About the Role
As a key member of the Network Operations Center (NOC), the NOC Engineer will be an integral part of the existing NOC Team and will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining an organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. They proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues to prevent disruptions and support continuous business operations.
What You'll Do :
- Proactively monitor and support staging and production systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Investigate problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions to prevent recurrence.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of periodic software releases.
- Actively engage in enhancing monitoring systems to promptly identify incidents, including application issues, thereby contributing to faster detection, and minimizing downtime.
- Contribute to reducing resolution times by implementing efficient troubleshooting methodologies, ensuring rapid restoration of normal operations and adherence to restoration goals.
- Identify opportunities for task automation within operations to improve productivity.s
- Act as an escalation point for issues flagged by operational support.
- Collaborate closely with internal third-line support teams to streamline problem-solving processes.
- Act as a bridge between NOC, Development and Platform teams to increase the knowledge and reduce escalation.
- Be a point of contact to the various developers and support them with any queries or issues that might arise from time to time.
- Ensure thorough and up-to-date maintenance of documentation.
What You Bring :
Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker is considered an asset, though not mandatory.Familiarity with system and application management practices.Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Zabbix, Grafana, Splunk (Dynatrace and Cloudflare are a plus).Experience in application support roles, with the ability to diagnose and solve issues.Ability to generate reports, maintain documentation, and prioritize tasks effectively.Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.ITIL Foundation Certification is an asset, though not mandatory.Up-to-date knowledge of application software coding and scripting is considered an asset, though not mandatory.Bachelor’s Degree or industry certifications in IT engineering, information systems, or a related field.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.Comprehensive IT knowledge, including technical fault analysis, problem-solving, and task prioritization.
