Content Manager (Remote Work)

Role Overview :
The Content Manager plays a central role in planning, creating, and optimising content for our brand. Working across functions with Web, Brand, Nutrition, Regulatory, and E‑Commerce teams, you will own the entire content lifecycle—from setting the strategy through production to distribution and performance analysis. Your work will ensure that our messages are accurate, engaging, and compliant, reaching pet parents and industry partners through the right channels and formats, including our own websites, online marketplaces, and influencer networks.
Key Responsibilities :
Plan and Define Content Direction :
- Identify and map out key audience groups (pet owners, veterinarians, breeders, shelters, retailers, influencers) and understand their needs.
- Set the editorial agenda by defining core themes—such as nutrition education, brand stories, product guides and community features—that support business goals.
- Seek out and develop relationships with credible partners (vets, nutritionists, influencers, e‑commerce partners) who can lend authority and broaden reach.
- Stay on top of industry and consumer trends to spot timely topics and adjust plans accordingly.
Research, Ideate and Draft :
Conduct research on trending topics, keywords and content gaps; lead brainstorming sessions to generate story angles.Write and edit first drafts of articles, blog posts, scripts and social posts, ensuring clear messaging and correct tone of voice.Adapt your writing to suit different audiences and stages of the customer journey.Optimise structure and formatting for algorithmic discovery across search engines and emerging generative platforms (SEO / GEO) to maximise organic reach.Ensure Quality and Accuracy :
Review all content for clarity, originality, tone and adherence to brand guidelines.Coordinate with nutritionists and regulatory specialists to ensure any health claims, nutrition information or product descriptions are accurate and compliant.Lead final sign‑off, working with Brand and Regulatory teams to ensure materials meet legal and policy standards.Adapt and Distribute Across Channels :
Repurpose approved content into multiple formats—blogs, newsletters, social posts, videos, infographics and podcasts—to maximise reach.Localise messaging and formats for different markets, audiences and languages.Manage publication schedules across owned channels (websites, emails), social platforms, e‑commerce properties (brand DTC site, online marketplaces), influencer channels and partner websites.Cultivate influencer partnerships as both a source of authoritative content and a distribution channel; align content strategy with influencer campaigns and product launches.Measure Performance and Continuously Improve :
Track engagement, conversion rates, search rankings, generative engine pickup and other key metrics to understand what content resonates across web, e‑commerce and social touchpoints.Gather feedback from readers, partners and influencers and fold insights into future content planning.Regularly refine messaging, formats and distribution strategies based on results.Participate in periodic reviews to ensure all content remains fair, inclusive and aligned with the brand’s values.Key Skills & Requirements :
Proven experience in content strategy, editorial management or marketing communications.Ability to translate technical or scientific concepts into clear, relatable stories.Familiarity with search engine optimisation (SEO), generative engine optimisation (GEO), analytics tools, content management systems and e‑commerce platforms.Experience working with influencers and understanding of influencer marketing as both a partnership and a channel.Competence in coordinating cross‑functional teams and external partners, including web development, brand, nutrition and regulatory stakeholders.A keen eye for detail, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.Adaptable writing style and excellent project management skills.
