Wood Carpenter

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wood Carpenter to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials. The carpenter will work on-site or in workshops, following technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with power tools and manual carpentry tools, and a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities :

Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials according to specifications

Build, install, or repair cabinets, doors, shelves, furniture, partitions, and wooden frameworks

Interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans

Install fixtures such as hinges, handles, latches, and moldings

Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines (e.g., saws, drills, sanders)

Inspect structures and materials to determine needed repairs

Ensure work areas are clean and safe at all times

Work closely with foremen, engineers, or interior designers to meet project goals

Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment as required

Qualifications :

Male, preferably 22–50 years old

High school graduate or with relevant vocational training (TESDA certificate is an advantage)

At least 2 years of experience in carpentry or wood fabrication

Skilled in reading plans, drawings, or technical specifications

Knowledge in various types of wood and carpentry techniques

Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials

Reliable, responsible, and works well under supervision or independently

Willing to work on-site, on shifting schedules, or extended hours when needed

Preferred Skills :

Experience in furniture making or cabinetry

Background in modular kitchen or built-in cabinet installations

Basic knowledge of finishing and varnishing wood products

Salary Range : PHP560 (Daily Rate)
