Job Description

This is a remote position.

Schedule : Monday to Friday — 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM Tulsa, OK Time (10 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM PHT)

Break : 1-hour unpaid break

Total weekly hours : 40 Hours

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team full-time. The ideal candidate will hold a 4-year degree in Accounting or possess CPA certification, with at least five years of professional accounting experience.

This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles, strong analytical skills, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. You’ll collaborate closely with both internal teams and clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide meaningful insights.

Candidates must be available to work at least half of the client’s business day to maintain consistent communication and workflow alignment.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports

Perform account reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies

Conduct financial analyses to support strategic decisions and client projects

Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-end closing activities

Support audit preparation and maintain thorough financial documentation

Use advanced Excel functions (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data modeling) for analysis and reporting

Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Vertices to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency

Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and streamline processes

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management

Solid understanding of balance sheets and other key financial statements

Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to overlap at least half of the company’s business day for collaboration

Experience in a professional services or consulting environment is a plus
