The Communications Specialist plays a key role in driving effective internal and external communication across the FBSC IT Shared Services organization. The role supports the PMO by drafting clear, concise communications, preparing meeting minutes and reports, designing professional presentations, and ensuring that messages are well-articulated and aligned with organizational goals. In addition, the role contributes to enhancing the user experience by supporting UI / UX reviews of dashboards and application interfaces, and leveraging communication tools for consistent stakeholder engagement.
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS :
Internal & External Communications
- Develop and manage communication materials such as memos, announcements, reports, newsletters, and internal updates for IT leads and business units.
- Ensure timely and consistent communication aligned with IT service goals.
- Write clear and professional Minutes of Meetings (MoMs) and executive summaries.
- Maintain communication templates and content libraries.
UI / UX and Presentation Support
Collaborate with the design and app teams to provide feedback and recommendations on UI / UX designs of dashboards and internal applications.Assist in developing visually engaging and intuitive presentations for executive updates and project reviews.Contribute to design improvements that enhance user experience.Communications Tool Management
Utilize tools like MS Teams, SharePoint, Canva, Mailchimp, or similar platforms for content creation and distribution.Assist in managing content for dashboards or internal portals.Support in implementing feedback channels to improve communications effectiveness.Ad Hoc PMO and Project Support
Provide communication and documentation support across ongoing projects.Assist in project status reporting, stakeholder coordination, and collaboration activities.TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS :
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong editing and content organization skillsFamiliarity with communication tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, Canva, Mailchimp, etc.)Working knowledge of UI / UX principles and tools (Figma, Adobe XD, or similar)Visual design experience for presentations and dashboardsFamiliarity with Power BI or similar visualization tools (basic level is acceptable)Detail-oriented, highly organized, and collaborativeAbility to work across departments and levels of the organizationEDUCATION, TRAININGS, LICENSES REQUIRED :
Bachelors degree in Communications, Multimedia Arts, Marketing, IT, or related fieldMinimum 2-3 years in communications or visual design roles. Passionate in IT DomainExposure to IT / shared services environments is a strong advantageCertification on UI / UX principles is a plus
