Accountant (AU)

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS)

Prepare year-end financial statements and income tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Trusts, and Companies

Perform ad-hoc bookkeeping, payroll, and custom management / benchmarking reports in Xero

Liaise with the ATO on client matters as required

Maintain workflow tasks, WIP, and client invoicing if needed

• Participate in internal training sessions and knowledge-sharing meetings

Skills & Experience :

Degree in Accounting (CA / CPA preferred but not required)

3+ years of experience in Australian public practice

Advanced Xero skills, including :

Bank reconciliations

Invoicing and payroll

Report layouts and tax reporting

Fixed assets and financial statement / tax mapping

Strong understanding of Australian GST, income tax, and reconciliations

Proven ability to complete financial statements and tax returns through to review stage

Excellent written and verbal English for daily collaboration with the Australian team
