Tax Compliance Specialist

Job descriptionAssist in handling tax audits and liaising with tax authorities. Gather and organize documentation to support tax positions during audits. Assist in addressing tax notices, ensuring prompt resolution of issues raised by tax authorities. Assist in monitoring regulatory updates and ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including the submission of required reports to government agencies (e.g., SEC, BIR, LGUs, etc.). Maintain a calendar of filing deadlines for all statutory and compliance requirements. Assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Support the development and update of tax and compliance-related company policies as needed. Maintain accurate and organized records of all tax filings, payments, and correspondence with tax authorities. Ensure documentation is easily accessible for internal or external audit purposes. Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in tax preparation, filing, and compliance. Familiarity with BIR e-filing systems and other regulatory platforms. Strong understanding of Philippine tax laws and regulations. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel in particular). Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willing to work onsite from Mondays to Fridays from 9 AM to 6 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance and Reporting
- Prepare tax computations, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including VAT, income tax, withholding tax, and other local taxes.
- Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely remittance of tax payments to avoid penalties.
