Key Responsibilities
Customer Service : Greet customers, answer product-related questions, and assist with locating items. Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
Transaction Processing : Operate cash registers and POS systems to scan items, calculate totals, and process payments.
Payment Handling : Accept various forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and gift cards. Provide accurate change and issue receipts.
Cash Management : Count the cash in the register at the start and end of a shift, balance the drawer, and ensure sufficient change denominations are available.
Merchandise Management : Bag and wrap purchases. Assist with stocking shelves, rotating inventory, and maintaining store cleanliness.
Other Duties : Process returns and exchanges, monitor inventory, and potentially upsell or cross-sell products.
