CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR
Summary
The Church Administrator is a key operational leader responsible for the smooth and efficient management of the church's day-to-day administrative, facility, and communication functions. This role requires a blend of administrative expertise and strong interpersonal skills to support the church's mission and ministry teams.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative and Office Management
- Oversee the central church office operations, managing office supplies, equipment maintenance, and overall organization.
- Manage the church-wide master calendar for all ministries, events, and facility usage, resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential church records (i.e., personnel files, membership records, etc.)
- Provide high-level administrative support and coordinate with admin staff, pastoral staff, and ministry personnel.
- Manage incoming / outgoing mail, emails, and phone calls, serving as a primary point of contact for the congregation and public.
Communication and Publications
Coordinate the production and distribution of weekly service bulletins, newsletters, and other internal / external communications.Manage and update the church website, social media, and digital communication platforms with current content and event information.Maintain accurate membership and visitor databases.Facilitate clear and consistent communication between church leadership, staff, and the congregation.Facilities and Property Oversight
Serve as the primary contact for facility use rentals and external vendors (e.g., maintenance, security, IT).Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and security protocols for church buildings and grounds.Manage the inventory and proper use of church equipment and propertyQualifications
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in business administration or any related fieldAt least 1 year of proven experience in an administrative or organizational role, preferably within a church or nonprofit environment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or Google Workspace.Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.A committed Christian with a heart for ministry and a supportive attitude toward the church's mission and vision.
