CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR (FACILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT)
The Church Administrator (Facilities and Infrastructure Managment) is responsible for managing facilities, utilities, building maintenance, construction projects, safety protocols, and the technical infrastructure that supports daily and worship activities. This role focuses on overseeing the physical infrastructure and construction needs of St. Stephen’s Parish.
Duties and Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance & Utilities
- Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and functionality of church interiors and exteriors.
- Supervise plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural repairs.
- Oversee pest control, garbage disposal, and building insurance renewal.
- Manage the parsonage and guest accommodations.
- Monitor and optimize utility usage (electricity, water, landline).
Special Projects – Construction
Identify areas for improvement or repair within the church compound.Liaise with the construction committee to design solutions.Scout and evaluate contractors; recommend quotations for approval.Oversee construction execution and ensure alignment with expectations.Coordinate completion, payment, and warranty claims if applicableSafety and Security
Evaluate and implement security improvements (CCTV, guards, entry protocols).Ensure readiness for emergencies—fire, earthquake, flood.Maintain and inspect emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, lights, alarms).Grounds & Parking
Maintain landscaping, drainage, and flood control systems.Coordinate major tree trimming and safety landscaping projects.Personnel Supervision (Facility-related staff)
Supervise janitors, drivers, and maintenance staff.Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor's degree in any administrative related course. Graduate of engineering course is an advantageExperience or strong interest in facilities management, construction, or maintenancePrevious work in a construction or engineering firm is a plusAnalytical and coordination skillsProblem Solving and Decision MakingAttention to safety protocolsAble to communicate well with internal staff, suppliers, contractors, and external agenciesPhysically fit and willing to do regular on-site inspectionsWilling to work in a church institution
