We’re seeking an expert-level Plumbing Designer / Engineer to join our small, fast-paced team. You must be highly proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with a proven track record delivering and laying out complex plumbing systems. This role is for genuine experts—exceptionally intelligent, professional, diligent, organised, and challenge-driven.

You will be responsible for performing hydraulic design calculations, including sanitary, vent, domestic water, storm, and grease waste systems, as well as gas system design. Your role will involve pump pressure drop and head calculations, designing fire protection systems, and developing riser diagrams. You will also need to review submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform quality review checks of 2D / 3D modelling including coordination between MEP services, structure and architectural elements.

Key Responsibilities Design and Layout
- Design and document plumbing systems using AutoCAD and Revit, creating detailed drawings.
- Perform hydraulic design calculations for systems such as sanitary, vent, domestic water, storm, or grease waste, and select appropriate equipment.
- Contribute to gas system design and fire protection system design, including riser diagrams and equipment selection.
Calculation and Analysis
Conduct pump pressure drop and head calculations, selecting suitable pumpsEnsure systems meet design requirements through detailed analysis.Review and Quality Assurance
Review submittals and respond to or raise Requests for Information (RFIs) promptly.Perform quality checks on 2D / 3D models to ensure accuracy and compliance.Conduct clash detection and coordinate with MEPF services, structure, and architectural elements.Documentation and Standards
Develop and maintain schedules and create detailed design documents.Ensure designs align with relevant codesCollaboration and Communication
Work closely with project teams to ensure design integration and project alignment.Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve design issues and provide technical support.Demonstrate expert-level English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.Requirements
What You Bring :
We're looking for someone who :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for plumbing system design.Solid understanding of plumbing design fundamentals, with familiarity in hydraulic calculations, gas systems, fire protection, or plumbing layout.Familiarity with IPC, UPC, or Australian PCA standards is desirable but not required.Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to excel in a remote work environment.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).Fluent in English with excellent literacy and communication skills.Must Have
Advanced knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD functionalities.Experience with complex projects and multi-discipline coordinationDesirable
