Senior Data Engineer (Lead Role – APAC)

Location : Taguig, Philippines (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)

Schedule : Mid-Shift

Salary : Up to ₱130,000

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Lead Role – APAC) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced data professional who thrives in both hands-on engineering and technical leadership. You will lead regional data integration initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with global teams to build scalable, high-performance data platforms and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

Lead data integration design and implementation across multiple systems and data warehouses.

Architect high-performance, reusable data workflows (ETL / ELT), focusing on quality, scalability, and enrichment.

Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to ensure seamless data delivery and knowledge sharing.

Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and architecture discussions across international teams.

Establish and champion best practices for data integration, documentation, and governance.

Mentor and guide data engineers across the APAC region.

Troubleshoot and resolve integration and performance issues in complex data environments.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role.

Strong hands-on expertise with SnapLogic and Snowflake.

Proficient in SQL and Python.

Experience with ETL / ELT tools such as Coalesce or Fivetran (nice to have).

Solid understanding of REST APIs, integration frameworks, and real-time data streaming.

Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Proven success collaborating with distributed global teams across APAC, North America, and Europe.

Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in SnapLogic, Snowflake, Fivetran, Coalesce, or major cloud platforms.

Experience delivering large-scale IT or data projects in distributed environments.

Background in regional or global handoff support.
