BOQ Associate

The B OQ Associate is responsible for the preparation of Quantity Take-off (QTO) of civil works, structural works, architectural works, and other related works necessary for the preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ). This position will also assist in the production of BOQ at different design stages, i.e. Design Development, Contract Documentation, and / or Pre-Tender Stage.

KEY FUNCTIONS / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Carry out measurement for Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) Works

• Quantity Take-off
• Carry out quantity take-off of civil, structural, architectural works, and other related trades using SPIs accredited tools and software;
• Coordinate with BQ Lead for the daily tasks and activities.
• Preparation of Bill of Quantities
• Assist in the preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in accordance with SPIs standard format;
• Assist in requesting quotations and in canvassing of prices from suppliers.
• Other Responsibilities assigned from time to time
• Prepare design queries necessary to provide reliable BOQ;
• Prepare QTO mark-ups for manual measurements;
• Assist the BQ Lead in the preparation of supporting information such as Drawing Registries, Key Performance Indices, Area Tabulation, Room Matrixes, and Schedule of Finishes.
