Cross dock Manager

The Cross-dock Manager oversees the entire operation in a cross-dock facility. To ensure the efficient and timely movement of goods from inbound to outbound. Responsible for managing people, optimizing processes, safety, and good warehousing practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plans warehouse layout, product flow, and handling systems; recommends equipment and process improvements.
• Enhances cross-dock operations by analyzing workflows, manpower, space, and equipment needs; implements changes.
• Leads cost reduction initiatives across operational activities.
• Prepares and monitors annual budgets; analyzes variances and takes corrective action.
• Ensures accurate and timely customer billing; addresses revenue leakages.
• Reviews monthly P&L, analyzes results, prepares action plans, and reports to senior management.
• Oversees daily operations to ensure timely task execution and KPI achievement.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and follow-up on performance.
• Ensures orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time.
• Maintains security and safety protocols across cross-dock operations.
• Oversees equipment maintenance and ensures safe, efficient tools for warehouse personnel.
• Implements Good Warehousing Practices (GWP) and promotes staff motivation and training.
• Enforces company policies, including work and safety standards.
